This process is particularly important for IUID orders, where accuracy is critical. If you order MIL-STD-130 Construct 1, Construct 2, or Part Number Only nameplates or labels, they must meet the applicable specification and contain accurate data.
Sometimes the nameplate or marking requirement is discovered late in the manufacturing process. The equipment may be nearly ready to ship before someone realizes no one ordered the required IUID nameplates or labels.
For those situations, expedited service is available for an additional fee.
